The incumbent who will be reporting to Services Manager and will be overseeing the movement, distribution, and storage of materials in an organization. The incumbent is to control the flow of incoming materials and outgoing finished products to ensure customers received products on time and within the agreed shipping date as per the Sales Agreement and oversee warehouse, inventory control, material handling, customer service, transportation, and planning. The incumbent ensures to negotiate shipping and supplier costs and to improve the efficiency of the company’s supply chain within the budget.

We need a highly motivated self-driven individual who can work independently whilst providing support to the team and the operations and have the following underpinning knowledge:

  • Oversees Vessel Chartering & Order execution. This is for raw materials and final product of approximately 900,000mt pa;
  • Oversees Warehousing & Inventory control both in Bintulu and in consignment in the USA and Europe;
  • Oversee the Warehouse & Inventory control system;
  • Oversee logistic and shipping arrangements for both Import and Export;
  • Do yearly raw materials and final product logistics planning. This includes raw material contract negotiations; and
  • Ensure compliance to Sakura safety rules and regulations.

    • Minimum Diploma in Logistics /Supply Chain or relevant field
    • Experiences minimum 10 years in Logistic Operations Supervision
    • Demonstrable ability to lead and manage staff

    • Proficient in logistics software will be an advantage

The incumbent will be reporting to ensure reliability of the conveyor belts on the plant by servicing, maintaining and repairing them to a high standard to prevent furnace downtime. We need a highly motivated self-driven individual who is able to work independently whilst providing support to the team and the operations and have the following underpinning knowledge: 

Maintain a high level of safety throughout the execution of assigned tasks

  • Do lagging of pulleys
  • Keep all the belts on the plant trained.
  • Set, service and replace belt scrapers as required.
  • Inspect and report on the conditions of the trough, return and impact idlers.
  • Do daily inspections and condition monitoring and give feedback regarding maintenance required for all conveyor belts on the plant.
  • Taking care of belt splicing equipment and tools.
  • Ensuring that the correct type and quantities of belt repair spares and consumables are always available on site
  • To ensure all conveyor belts on the plant is serviced, maintained and repaired to a high standard and to ensure the conveyor belts are available to production in such a way as to minimize any downtime that may be caused. Including:
  • Hot and cold splicing of conveyor belts
  • Hot and cold repairs to damaged belt covers.
  • Hot and cold repairs of damaged belt splices

    • ·       Minimum qualification of Malaysian Skills Certificate (SKM) Level 3 in mechanical trade or equivalent
    • ·   At least 3 years of working as a belts man with specific knowledge of hot splicing and cold splicing procedures and techniques.

Reporting to the Assistant Manager-Instrument, the incumbent is responsible to maintain, inspect, and prevent downtime and increase availability and performance of the plant instrumentation systems.

 

  • Maintain a high level of safety throughout the execution of assigned tasks
  • Maintain and repair electric, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments and systems used in control generating operations, instruments include flow meters, temperature transmitter and elements, pressure gauges and pneumatic valves
  • Inspect and plan for required repairs for electric, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments and systems used in control generating operations

  • Install new electric, electronic, mechanical and pneumatic instruments and systems used in control generating operation when required

  • Reporting to the Shift Manager, the incumbent is responsible to assist in tapping aisle activities, including furnace tapping-, post taphole process- and casting bay management, on a shift basis, ensuring its smooth and safe operation to achieve the desired outputs, through:
  • ·     Safety management – Follow- and suggest improvements on safe operating procedures and standards and conduct housekeeping activities throughout the furnace process and its auxiliary processes/equipment.
  • ·     Process management – Understanding, problem-solving and taking corrective action on process/equipment deviations. (Pre-tap preparation, Tapping activities, Crane operation, Ladle management, Casting of molten material and shutdown activities).
  • ·       Ad-hoc activities – Support the production process through conducting ad-hoc activities, as required.
  • ·       Collaboration & Communication – Effectively and clearly communicate and collaborate with own team and Shift manager.
