The incumbent who will be reporting to Sinter Plant Dayshift Supervisor and is responsible for managing the activities surrounding the crushing and screening of sinter on a shift basis. Responsible for overall throughput, quality, and sizing of the operation and to help the team reach maximum efficiency and output.

 Key Responsibilities

·       Adhere to daily planning to ensure smooth operation of site.

·       Manage the crushing and screening of Sinter, ensure plant productivity.

·       Perform root cause analysis and propose/resolve problems.

·       Recording of regular production data and process parameters

·       Identify improvement opportunities.

·   Promote Safety, Environmental, Health and Quality Control programs within his/her area of responsibility

·       Assisting in ADHOC activities

  • REQUIREMENT:

    ·       Minimum qualification of Diploma in any Engineering Field

    ·       Fresh graduates with Degree in any Engineering Field

    ·       At least 3 years or working experience as control room operator

    ·       Familiarity and experience with SCADA system would be an advantage

    ·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office and Advanced English language

Reporting to the Sinter Plant Shift Supervisor, the incumbent is responsible to assist in the entire sintering plant activities, including raw material mixture/batching-, pelletizing process- and sinter ladle management, on a shift basis, ensuring its smooth and safe operation to achieve the desired outputs;

  • Safety management – Follow- and suggest improvements on safe operating procedures and standards and conduct housekeeping activities throughout the sinter plant and its auxiliary processes/equipment.
  • Process management – Understanding, problem-solving and taking corrective action on process/equipment deviations. (Raw material batching, Pelletizing, Sintering and shutdown activities).
  • Ad-hoc activities – Support the production process through conducting ad-hoc activities, as required.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Effectively and clearly communicate and collaborate with own team and Shift Supervisor.

  • Process management – Understanding, problem-solving and taking corrective action on process/equipment deviations.
  • Ad-hoc activities – Support the production process through conducting ad-hoc activities, as required.
  • Collaboration & Communication – Effectively and clearly communicate and collaborate with own team and Shift Supervisor.

Reporting to the Shift Manager, the incumbent is responsible to control the submerged arc furnace process and its associated auxiliary processes and -equipment, on a shift basis, ensuring its smooth and safe operation to achieve the desired outputs, through:

  • Safety management – Follow- and suggest improvements on safe operating procedures and standards.
  • Process management – Understanding, problem-solving and taking corrective action on process/equipment deviations to maximize equipment throughput, efficiency, availability, and utilization. 
  • Collaboration & Communication – Effectively and clearly communicate and collaborate with own team and other departments to sustain a stable operating environment.
  • Feedback & Reporting – Conduct effective inspections and follow up on deviations. Data capturing and evaluation of management system and operational log-sheets.
  • Process and systems improvement – Evaluate and suggest improvement opportunities to play a role in the ongoing success of the business.
